FIRE DRILLS
Fire drills and earthquake drills are a regular part of school safety. School Board policy states that we must have 3 fire drills in the fall and 3 during the spring. Early in the year, students are informed that there will be a fire drill and instructed what to do when the alarm rings. Later in the year the alarm is sounded without warning students or staff. Students are instructed to leave the building quickly and quietly and gather on the field at the back of the school. “Fire Drill Reports” are filed with the School District Office.
