Hello everyone,
A great week of learning about Community Helpers and we have had our first emerging butterfly in our tank! We hope we come back to school on Monday to see more!
Big thank you to the Fox family for bringing their huge tractor and sharing videos of what happens at Silver Rill Farms. The children in all classes loved being in the tractor - a hightlight for Kindergarten! Paxton has shared that the market is open this weekend if anyone needs veggies!
Next week we have the LIbrary visiting us virtually on Monday, Constable Davies will visit us wih his police car on Wednesday morning and we will have a virtual tour of Thrifty's Grocery Store. We will review healthy food choices.
Sharing: Please have your child share one healthy food choice and one treat they like to eat. They can share it orally or bring in a drawing.
Please remember to have your child wear their Eagle Shirt on Monday for our convocation!
BIRTHDAYS, BIRTHDAYS. BIRTHDAYS! We have a few June birthdays to celebrate and we will also celebrate missed/summer birthdays so each child gets a special day to celebrate them! Starting this Monday, we will celebrate Paxton's birthday, then Emmett's is June 2, Brooklynn's June 8, Amy June 10, Ryder's June 16 and Peyton June 18. If you don't see your child's name from the summer months, please let me know so I can correct it. There is a whole lot of celebrating in June!
Supporting Emotional Balance: The District and COPACS are pleased to be able to offer a parent evening on Supporting Emotional Balance on June 9. David Segal will be leading the virtual session. David is the Executive Director of Human Nature Counselling Society. He will be focusing on strategies and approaches to supporting children and youth--and ourselves--during these uncertain times.
