Hello Families.
Below are our events and reminders for the week.
Math: With Mrs. Brown:Students continue to work on place value with our focus on comparing and ordering large numbers. With Ms. Rickson: Students are studying pictographs and looking at the way they represent data.
Writing: We continue our descriptive writing unit, exploring the difference between telling and showing with our words. Students continue to explore different ways to make written work more interesting and descriptive so the written piece creates a picture in the reader's mind. We are also working on using a many different connector words to create a variety of rich compound sentences instead of many simple sentences. This week we will move into writing a "Boo Haiku" using descriptive Halloween words. We will also create a writing piece, writing from the perspective of a realtor selling a haunted house.
