A few bits for the week...
- Remember Thursday, September 27 is Photo Day and Get to Know Your School Night.
- Brentwood's Orange Shirt Day is September 28th. We will encourage everyone to wear an orange shirt because Every Kid Matters! The class will be learning more about Orange Shirt Day next week. More information is available here.
- Our Library Book Exchange Day is Thursday. The children brought home their first book yesterday. Please help your child find a spot at home to keep it safe until s/he returns it next Thursday. Oh, and read, read, read.
- A few families have yet to submit the $35 fee for school supplies. Please do this as soon as possible.
- Thank you for your support for the Terry Fox Run today and your Scholastic book order.
- Our “class pet”, Robbie Raccoon, has started making his rounds. Every weekend, he will go home with a student to share in their adventures. Robbie comes with a journal so your family can draw and write about the weekend together.
- Fall is here! In class, over the next few weeks, we will be looking at signs of fall. If you find yourself outside and discover some colourful fall leaves, pine cones, seeds, or other signs, please send them in!
- If anyone is interested in making up a batch of playdough for the class. Here's the recipe or use your own favourite recipe. Thanks!
- Sharing for next week Finn on Monday, Jack on Tuesday,Lauren on Wednesday, Lucas on Thursday, and Madeline on Friday. Please note: If your child has something extra special to share but it's not his/her day, we will squeeze it in. For example, he/she wants to share after coming back from a special trip, the family found some amazing tadpoles, or a special visitor is here from out of town. Also, pets are welcome!
