Hello Parents.
Hard to believe we are in the final three weeks of the school year. While we have many fun activities happening over the next couple of weeks, I reminded the children, we also have a lot of learning to do. In Division 12 we continue with the curriculum right to the last week of school. Below is a list of curriculum related learning and the reminders for events happening in June.
Math: With Mrs. Brown: We completed our long division unit last week and have started our final math unit, fractions. This week we are learning how to identify fractions, the difference between a denominator and a numerator. Next week we will be looking at ordering fractions and equivalent fractions. With Mr. Lurie: We continue with our unit on probability using dice.
Writing: This week we worked on writing self evaluations using the Core Competencies. Nxt week we will complete some summer writing.
Reading: Final reading assessments for term three.
* Families are responsible for arranging own rides to and from UVic - attendance taken at meet, students do not have to come to Brentwood first.
* Students need to be at UVic by 9am and they will find us in the stands by the Brentwood sign. They will need to come and see Mrs. Ewart or Ms. DiLucca when they arrive so we can sign them in.
* The meet ends between 2 and 3pm. Please be back at UVic to pick up your child by 2:45 at the latest (or make other arrangements for carpooling). Students must sign out with a Brentwood teacher before they leave so please check with your child to make sure they have done this.
* Parents/families are welcome to join us for the day!
Please have your child bring:
* Hat, sunscreen
* Waterbottle
* Lunch and extra snacks
* Running shoes/clothes
* Sweater (it can be windy in the stands!)
* A book, notebook, colouring... something to do in the stands while waiting! No electronics please!

School bus registration is now open for the 2018/19 school year. Please use the link provided to register your student. To ensure a seat on the bus please have your registration completed by June 29, 2018. The bus routes listed below are to be used as a guideline only. Updated bus routes for next year will be posted on this site by August 15, 2018.
