Hello parents.
Last week was a busy one with a huge focus on our inquiry projects. The students have worked hard and many of the projects are finished with the remaining projects needing a few more details to be complete. We thank you for all your support in helping your child with this project. This week will be full, with a field trip tomorrow with Peninsula Streams, our Open House on Wednesday and the Inquiry Museum on Thursday. We look forward to seeing many family members at the school this week.
Below is our schedule and reminders for the week.
Math: With Mrs. Brown: We continue to work on multi-digit multiplication We are also working on learning our basic multiplication facts. Please practise this with your children at home. With Mr. Lurie: Review of 2-D and 3-D shapes.
Writing: This week we are sharing our writing pieces with the class. Students will read a selected piece and then, receive two compliments or comments from their peers. We will also complete a writing piece on the topic of Spring.
Reading: We continue to work on our Reader's Theatre where students will perform a read aloud play in groups. Performance date will be after Spring Break.
Socials Studies: Final stage of Inquiry Projects....Museum on Thursday.
Physical Education: This week we will be playing cooperative and some competitive games.
Dance: Students continued learning a new dance for the Fine Arts Festival and for the performance in May. Mark your calendars now...the performance will be on Tuesday, May 15th at 12:30 in the gym.
