Hello everyone!
It is hard to believe we are in our last month of this year! The children have embraced our early morning Christmas activities and now we have an elf in our classroom! He is a bit naughty, mixing up numbers but the children were able to fix them!
This week we read two versions of the Gingerbread stories - Gingerbread Man and Gingerbread Girl. We talked about the characters and compared how they were the same and different in both stories. It was fun!
Students did a great job of sharing their Holiday traditions...many shared about trimming the Christmas tree, going to other people's homes, grandparents; playing special games; celebrating Hanukkah... it is great for the children to listen to all the different traditions. Thanks for your support in helping them!
Next Week:

School Events:
Please help to support Brentwood families!
Students are encouraged to bring in a cash donation ($2 ) that will go towards supporting families hampers over the holidays.
Bring in a donation and help others while decorating our School Tree!
We would like to partner with Central Saanich Police and the other schools in Central Saanich to help families in our area by giving new unwrapped toys. If you would like to help, please buy a new toy for a child aged 2-12 and put it in the bin in the front entrance of the school under the tree by December 15. Central Saanich Police will collect these toys and then, during the last week of school in December, will come to Brentwood and we will have a "Cram A Cruiser" scheduled celebration. Stay tuned.
