Hello everyone,
We had another great week! Both Grade 5 classes voted today
for who they wanted as their MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands. The results
have been sent to Student Vote which will be included with other
participating schools throughout Canada. These results will be posted
for us next week after the polls have closed on October 19.
We were really impressed with how the kids took this voting seriously
and followed the voting protocol. Thanks to Isabel, Jennea, Sinjin and
Cooper who volunteered to help with the polling station. It will be
exciting to find out who wins!
We had the "Great Shake Down" Earthquake drill today
participating with many schools across Canada. Your children did well
to Stop, Drop and Hold and then filed out of the school quietly. It is a
good reminder for all of us to check our earthquake supplies at home.
