Here are a few bits for the week ...

  • This week, we are saying "See you!" to our classmate, Bridget.  Bridget and her family have moved away from Brentwood but she will come to join us for some events in June.  So we're not saying "Goodbye"  but we will certainly miss having her here every day.

  • Maturation Talks are happening this coming Monday, June 1st at the very end of the day so it will be fresh in their minds to talk to you after school!

  • Our Grade 4 field a trip to the Royal BC Museum is a go!  Thanks so much to Mrs. VanOort, Mr. McConnell, Mr. Moser, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Pearce and Mrs. Barr for volunteering to be chaperones. The bus leaves Brentwood at 10:40am and we will return before 2:30. Students are reminded to pack a lunch to bring to the museum.

  • Ask your child what he/she thought about The Bone Game! We are very thankful to B.J. Pierre, Roxanne Modesta and our First Nations Department for making last Wednesday's fun activity possible.

  • Ask your child what he/she thought of our All Day Peace Summit Workshop. Together we learned about using the Labyrinth to find calm and balance in our lives. Your child brought home a handout to help explain.

  • Track Meet at UVic is scheduled for Thursday, June 11th. If your child is running, save the date to come out and watch. More information should be coming home very soon.

  • We have another field trip planned for June 12th. It will be a walking trip to the Tsartlip Community.  Permission forms will come home next week.

  • Miss DiLucca and Ms. Payette in the Library have asked that all books be returned to school over the next couple weeks.  Children will be able to keep the books in class until the final turn-in date, June 12th.
  • No Spelling this week! As the crunch of year-end comes on, we will skip a few extra Spelling weeks to make time for additional assessment time in class. If you are wanting to keep it up at home, send me an email and I will send some extra units home with your child.

Enjoy your weekend!
