Hello Division 13 Families.

Below you will find the events and reminders for the week.

Math: With Mrs. Brown students will be learning about long division and practising their division skills. There will be math homework coming home this week so students can practice these skills.

Writing: We are learning about various types of figurative language and how students can create more interesting writing by including figurative language in their written work. This week we will  learn about idioms.

Reading: This week students will begin reading their novels for our book club.  On Friday, students will discuss the chapters they read this week and each student will have a job in the book club circle.

Art: This week we will be creating a mural for the front bulletin board near the entrance of the school.  Our mural will represent the new moon, SXANEL, the Bullhead Moon.  This mural will be up for the month of May.

Physical Education: On Mondays for the foreseeable future, we are starting a new fitness unit.  It will involve music and a lot of movement. Students are reminded to make sure they have a pair of runners, not sandals or boots, to help them feel comfortable while participating in these gym blocks.  For the remainder of the week we will begin our unit on volleyball and continue to play a variety of cooperative games.
