Math: With Mrs. Brown, we continue to learn about fractions. Students will learn about identifying and creating equivalent fractions. With Mrs. Westmacott, students continue to work on probability and this week will work on probability practice questions.
Reading: Students continue to learn figurative language and identify hyperboles in various texts. We will also do some close reading with music where students will analyze song lyrics from Bruno Mars’ song, “Count on Me”, looking for deeper meaning, symbolism and themes. Students will also be required to use text evidence to defend their answers.
Writing: Students completed their research projects last week and this week will present in small groups to the class.
Science: In science we continue learning about the rock cycle.
Social Studies: In social studies, we will learn about natural resources.
Physical Education: This week we will resume our mini basketball tournament. We will have an outdoor PE class on Thursday and will play California Kickball.
Art: This week students will continue to work on their scrapbooks and get them prepared for coming home at the end of June.

Hello Brentwood Eagle Families,
Brentwood school will be having a "Colours of the Rainbow" spirit day on June 16, 2021.
Children may choose to wear any or all colours of the rainbow, or their Brentwood Eagle shirt, to help us celebrate all children and families being welcome in our community. We are a SOGI-inclusive school which means that all identities are welcome and never cause for discrimination.

STEP 2: Enter in your Brentwood PAC Code 2G8C37 (the PAC Code is case sensitive)
STEP 3: Select your child’s grade for next September from the drop down menu and enter his/her name
STEP 4: Click “Add to Cart”
You may choose to pick up your kit the first day of school, or have your kit delivered to the nearest Monk Office Retail location for pickup (for free!)
