Hello everyone,

We had a fire drill today - kids did well! They knew to drop everything during playtime and line up quietly! Way to go K 1 friends!

Sharing: This week it is free choice - your child can bring whatever they like to share. Please help them to know who gave it to them, or where they got it from... these questions are often asked. All the children are doing well with sharing their items. Patterns were lots of fun! We kept finding them on clothes everyday even of the children who weren't sharing! We learned they are all around us!

Here is what is happening over the next few weeks:

Galey Farm Field Trip is this coming Monday!  The forecast is for rain so please make sure your child has boots and a good rain coat.  Please send a cloth bag (shopping bag) labelled with your child's name so they can carry their pumpkin around. We will leave Brentwood around 10:15 and expect to be back by 1:35. Please make sure you pack an easy picnic style lunch as we will be eating there.  We will have morning snack at school.

Monday, October 21 is Election Day. Brentwood's gym is a polling station so expect the parking lot to be unusually busy and in need of extra caution.   Don't forget to vote!

Eagle Convocation is this coming Wednesday, the 23rd.  Our class should be receiving their new Eagle Shirts that day.  Thank you, Brentwood PAC.

PAC Halloween Dance is this coming Thursday, October 24th from 5:30-7:00. Please wear your costume and join us for a fun evening! All funds generated go towards funding our Reflex Math program. This will be Brentwood Elementary's opportunity to wear costumes to share with friends this year as we will be trying something new this year on Oct. 31.

Friday, October 25th is a Professional Development Day so no school for students.

October 31st is Pyjama Day. Brentwood school has elected to have a pyjama spirit day on Oct. 31. Students may wear regular clothing or pyjamas to school, and our student spirit club will be planning some special activities.

Sugar Rush Run - We will run off the Halloween treats in the afternoon. You can come at 2:00 to join us. We will be wearing our Eagle shirts.

Later this weekend I will send the sign up for Parent/Teacher Conferences. It will be on a Google Doc so you can click on it to choose a time that fits for you.

Have a great weekend!
