Hello families. Well, we are in the home stretch...two weeks left. We are continuing with teaching the curriculum and hope to keep the students grounded for the last two weeks. While there are many activities happening, we plan to keep the learning going in our classroom. Please read below for events and reminders for the week.
This week:
Math: With Mrs. Brown, students continue to learn about fractions. This week we are ordering and comparing fractions as well as looking at equivalent fractions. With Ms. Rickson, students will be learning to tell time on an analog and digital clock.
Design Thinking - We will watch a video of Mark Rober explaining different ways of completing the egg drop challenge. Then we will discuss and compare with the strategies we used last Friday.
Writing: Students will be presenting their writing this week by reading their essays to the class and by presenting a Chatterpix.
Reading: This week we continue practising Readers Theater. Students chose one out of four stories to perform in a group.
Science: We will be learning about the Rock Cycle by watching a video, creating a mind map and playing the Rock Cycle game.
