At about 2:20 this afternoon, the kids experienced their first “Hold and Secure” situation. I just wanted to head off any alarm. The incident posed absolutely no threat to the kids. The police were present outside and they asked the school if we could lock up and close the blinds so they could have some privacy while dealing with a minor issue. We were secured in the library during our book exchange so we tucked into a couple extra stories before the order was lifted (probably about ten minutes). The children were unconcerned except for those who missed their sharing time because of the delay. They were most annoyed.
