Here are a few bits for the week...
- Today, we talked about positive vs. negative ways to react to our feelings of anger, happiness and stress. Ask your child about our chat. Monday, we'll continue with a look into responding to sadness and frustration.
- In Math, we've been studying place value and have begun to practice rounding 4 digit numbers and estimating to find approximate sums and differences. We'll soon be on to adding and subtracting 4 digit whole numbers.
- In Socials, we've been studying continents, oceans, and hemispheres as well as Canadian provinces, territories, and capital cities. We have been practicing capitals using Capital Scramble.
- If you happen to have any scraps of fabric sitting around, we would really appreciate it if you could drop it in for a Winter Art project we're starting next week. We could also use any newspapers you're done with for Monday.

This coming Tuesday, we will enjoy a double block of hip hop dance with a visiting instructor. Thanks go to Mrs. Scott for organizing this. Please ensure your child wears flexible clothing and appropriate footwear.

I will be out of the classroom next Wednesday, November 26th morning as some of the Intermediate teachers are getting together to do some curriculum development. I will be in the school. Ms. Marie Garvin will be our TTOC.

This coming Wednesday, November 26th, a few players from the Peninsula Panthers hockey team are coming to play floor hockey in the gym with our grade 4s! Please ask your child if he/she is planning to join us!
Enjoy your weekend!
