A few bits for the week...
- Next Wednesday, we have a field trip to the indigenous gardens at ȽÁU, WELṈEW̱ Tribal School. Our apologies for the short notice. We were waiting for approval on our bus. We will send home permission forms on Monday.
- Thank you to J'SINTEN (Mr. John Elliott) for sharing his knowledge on our plant walk last Thursday. Ask your child which plants are used to make yellow dye (Oregon grape) or how to say pinecone in SENĆOTEN (BISEJ).
- Next week will be Miss La Fortune's final week teaching in our class.
- Ready Set Learn returns this coming May 12, 3:30-5:00 for preschool children aged 3 and up.
- The PENINSULA “1000 X 5” Children’s Book Recycling Project is in urgent need of picture books suitable for reading to young children (from birth to 5 years-old). If you have gently used books to donate, please bring them to the school They will be forwarded to the volunteers who will sort and package them for other families to share and enjoy. Thank you to those who have already donated!
- Sharing/special helpers will be River, Tyler, Anders, Astri, and Bentley.
