Hello everyone,
We were busy elves this week. I'm not sure if your gift will last til Christmas, but just wanted to let you know the children worked hard on them!
We watched Michael Mitchell's virtual concert this week and one of the songs he played was "Money in My Pocket". It is great to show it to your child again as we are learning about money and the symbols on them. It is a catchy tune too!
We are almost finished learning the Letterland Characters - here is the link again to review the sounds with your child.
Sharing next week: Favourite Christmas Story/Song. Why they like it.
Here are some events that are happening next week:
- Next Tuesday, December 15th, our cohort will be getting together to decorate Christmas Cone Trees with Royal Icing and treats. We are asking everyone to bring a small bag of treats to share and a bag of Royal Icing on Monday labelled with your child's name. Please no nuts.
- Wacky Winter Wednesday is on Wednesday, December 16 Children are invited to wear a festive outfit, hat, or wacky hair to school.
- Brentwood is helping the Central Saanich police collect new unwrapped toys for their annual Cram the Cruiser event. If you have something to contribute, please drop it off at the school office before December 16th.
- Thanks to those who have already donated loonies and toonies to the Sidney Food Bank. We will continue to collect donations until December 16th.
- Here are Mrs. Toronitz's Covid Family Resources.
- Please sign and return your child's Report Card envelope by December 16 for them to receive a treat.
