Hello everyone,

We have had a busy week with the dance and some extra activities such as  a visit from BC Ambulance today.  We talked about 911 and got to tour the ambulance.  It's a good time to talk about emergency plans in your house as well as review with your child when to call and when not to call 911.  Does your child know your house and street address?   They gave each child their own paper ambulance which they will need help with today.

We also went for our Fairways Market grocery field trip today. It was funny to see how the kids were so excited about seeing special cookies on the shelf hey have had grandma's house or finding the different items on a Bingo Scavenger Hunt.  Mrs. Post did an excellent tour of all the different areas and the children were able to see into the back freezers, butcher station and where the trucks deliver groceries and where the cardboard is compacted! Each child left with a Fairway sticker, a fun treat!

Next Tuesday we will be meeting Constable Joyce at 10:30 at the CS Library parking lot to learn about policing.  Families are welcome to join. We will be walking over with Mrs. Westwood's class.

If you would like your child to have a VPL Library card, please hand in the white sheet on Tuesday so it can get processed.
