Last week the Board passed the following motion after receipt of an update on drinking water initiatives:
The District is nearing the completion of the installation of water filtration in the following locations:
· Prospect Lake
· Saanichton
· Lochside
· Stelly’s
· Brentwood
· Beaver Lake SIDES
· Cordova Bay
· Keating
· Sidney Elementary
· Sidney Daycare (Percy’s)
· Deep Cove Elementary
· CDC
The
ministry has also confirmed funding to replace the plumbing at Sidney
elementary where lead readings, although within the acceptable
limits, are higher. Attached also is a Briefing note written by our District of Facilities which
provides additional information that can be used in your communications
